Vicki and Tom get hitched at Notley Tythe Barn, Buckinghamshire

Vicki and Toms wedding was such a blast to photograph with so much to photograph! I loved Notley Tythe Barn as the wedding venue, it felt so intimate and private. This was enhanced by the low light during the ceremony and reception which really meant searching out the pockets of light. There were loads of places outside for cool portraits including an old barn building in the field next door. Vicki and Tom were up for anything and made me feel so comfortable. Anyway of the words, here are some cool pictures from the day.

Alison and Tom - Amazing Tipi Wedding at Flatts Barn, Scarborough

I couldn’t have asked for a more friendly, fun couple to photograph than Alison and Tom. Their wedding took place at Flatts Barn, Scarborough. It was such a unique and impressive venue that I really hope to work their again soon. The building is split into two levels with the majority of the guests situated on the lower level and bride and groom and close family on the upper level. It proved a challenge as I really wanted to show every aspect of this unique venue so made sure that we went back for some cool couple portraits later on in the day.

The reception was in a super cool Tipi which I absolutely love shooting as they always make for great pictures. There was also a caravan for the bride and groom to escape too in case they need five minutes to themselves! It was my first time in Scarborough and I was blown away with the quality of the light, so soft and magical and a photographers dream. I loved the relaxed nature of Alison and Toms wedding. They weren’t big into loads of staged group photos and instead love the candid documentary style which is my trademark and why they hired me . I felt very lucky to be spending the day with great people in an amazing part of the country.

Rene and Phil - Relaxed Rustic Marquee Wedding in Tetbury, Gloucestershire

What a brilliant day I had last summer photographing Rene & Phil get hitched down in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. They had planned their day to be completely relaxed and chilled out so opted for a marquee style wedding in the huge garden of a lovely little pub. When I arrived nice and early in the morning Phil was there with his friends getting the place ready. People were sweeping, blowing up balloons, putting the chairs out for the ceremony. The outdoor bar area where the ceremony was to take place was awesome, so cool and rustic looking!

After spending some time shooting the preparation I dashed off to a nearby hotel where Rene was getting ready with her bridesmaids. As soon as the door opened I was greeted with a beaming smile.. I knew the day was going to be perfect!
